Bowen Yang spoke to “Extra’s” Mona Kosar Abdi as “Saturday Night Live” was recognized at the 2024 WSJ. Magazine Innovator Awards. In addition to reflecting on the honor, he spoke about recently playing vice presidential candidate JD Vance on “SNL,”  joking that the hardest part was trying to convince Lorne that he shouldn’t do it! He also spoke about the important role that the show plays during an election year. Plus, Bowen is also part of the “Wicked” movie, and he teased that people are going to “rocket out of their seats”!
