How to perform a cylinder power balance test on GM's series 2 engine. The specific model is a 2002 Buick LeSabre, no supercharger. Using a bidirectional scan tool makes the test safe, as the scan tool can disable 1 injector at a time. To record the rpm drop we subtracted the desired idle speed by the lowest engine speed recorded after disabling the injector. One cylinder was found to not be contributing to engine speed as much as the others.
