A Finale between PewDiePie and T-Series – Another Season of ‘Game of Thrones’

A competition between independent Swedish creator PewDiePie and the Indian music corporation T-Series has been started since October last year.who will be the most subscribed to YouTube channel makes a hit on social media.

PewDiePie, real name Felix Kjellberg, launched his YouTube channel in 2010 and has a enormous fan base with more than 93million subscribers now. According to theguardian, PewDiePie earned more than $14m per year from advertising, sponsorship and appearance fees. His channel was adjudged the highest paid YouTube star in 2016.

T-Series began its YouTube journey in 2006, which was started by Gulshan Kumar in 1983.Except its primary YouTube channel,T-Series also operates other29 sub-channels, features songs and film trailers.,such as “Tumhari Sulu” .

On Mar 31, 2019, PewDiePie firstly acknowledged that T-Series defeated his channel as the most subscribed channel on YouTube.

But as a matter of fact, PewDiePie have taken many measures to fight with T-Series like the “Subscribe to Pewdiepie”, he and his fans use all kinds of social media tool to instigate people to subscribe him.”

They think it is a struggle between independent YouTube creators and corporate entities. It seem to be a fight for justice. The whole YouTube community united as one to support Pewdiepie. However, things are getting worse and worse.

Some radical fans took some unreasonable actions. For instance,  A group hacked the Wall Street Journal website for the reason that they published a critical article about PewDiePie. The Wall Street Journal accused him of some antisemitic contents including ridiculous jokes and Nazi imagery.Since then Disney has ended the partnership with PewDiePie.They provided Revelmode for PewDiePie in 2014,a multi-channel network that could produce videos, mobile apps and merchandise.

Although PewDiePie has apologized for some of these scandals, after criticism, public is gradually losing faith in him.

“He could be doing all this only to cause a stir things up and get free publicity,” wrote the Daily Stormer,a neo-Nazi website.

Meanwhile, Bhushan Kumar encouraged people to subscribe to the channel of T-Series in a Twitter video. He said,”There is an Indian YouTube channel on the brink of becoming World’s No.1. It has taken us a lot of effort to come this far. To take my father Mr. Gulshan Kumar’s dream forward, I started this channel. Today, it belongs to you, to the entire nation. It’s a historic moment for all of us. So let’s come together and subscribe to T-Series YouTube channel and make India proud.” Pewdiepie and his fans criticized Kumar for using nationalist rhetoric to boost his subscribers.

The battle between PewDiePie and T-Series has been carrying on a malignant competition.Public pay more attention to the sum of their subscribers than the content of YouTube channel.

According to Noxinfluencer,Yesterday T-Series reached the 100 million subscribers milestone and becomes the first YouTube channel of breaking through this figure.T-Series announced the victory on official Instagram account.

“World’s biggest YouTube Channel T-Series has achieved another YouTube milestone by being the first one to cross an astonishing 100 million subscribers Thank You Fans for being part of our journey. T-Series – Making India Proud.”

However,a number is just a number.Creative content and the correct values is a final key to keep YouTube channel fresh.

Finally,Their battle comes to an end.Just like Another Season of ‘Game of Thrones‘,all will fade away, ash to ash.
