BYE SISTER … James Charles and Tati Westbrook End Their Friendship

Millionaire beauty blogger James Charles has lost more than 2 million subscribers from since last Friday. According to the website NoxInfluencer,  James Charles had 16.55 million subscribers last Friday and the number had fallen to 13 million on early Monday and it continues going down.

You may have seen the names James Charles and Tati Westbrook all over the internet these days, and there’s a big reason.

It happens to stem from a feud between Charles and his longtime mentor and fellow beauty guru Tati Westbrook. The mammoth decline began when beauty influencers on YouTube Tati Westbrook totally cut ties with Charles in a 43 minute YouTube post with the title: BYE SISTER … after James endorsed a vitamin company, Sleep Vitamins by SugarBearHair at Coachella, which is a huge competitor of her beauty brand, Halo Beauty.

Obviously, Tati responded on her own channels clearly upset, posting a tearful story to her Instagram saying, “It’s not right”. Charles later apologized to Westbrook in a statement posted to his Instagram story.

“I did not accept any money for the post. As most of you know, Tati has a vitamin brand which I take on a daily basis, but at the moment, I did not think about the competition, which was a major oversight.

“I’ve supported Tati both online and off like she has done for me and is devastated that I hurt somebody that I truly love and have endless respect for.”

But not sure if James did receive money for the original post, as it was labeled “#ad” and “swipe up” link to purchase more.

Charles apologized again to her and her husband in a YouTube video on Friday and addressed the points made by Westbrook in her video.

“To Tati and James Westbrook I’m sorry for everything that is going on, everything that I’ve put you through over the past few weeks,” he said.
“Most of my career over the past few years has been about me making mistakes and trying to learn and grow from them. I haven’t always done the best job of that, I can admit that,” he added. “But I have always tried.”
But it seems that a lot of people support Tati in this situation. She appears to be gaining subscribers just as fast as Charles is losing them.
